Alphatech Communications Facility

This facility features a new 64 meter tower built in Wolford Township near the town of Merrickville, Ontario, Canada, at latitude 44°,54',38.97", longitude 75°,49',28.24", and elevation 121.25 meters.

This 61 centimeter face tower, completed in December 2002, is built to CSA94 standards and is extendable to 92 meters. With new client interest in occupying the space between 64 and 94.5 meters secured, we are fully prepared to quickly add the additional 28 meters.

This new tower, painted in international orange/white is robustly constructed, employing solid round welded steel bar stock. The diameter of the tower legs ranges from 4.45 cm at the base to 3.81 cm at the 64 meter level.

Obstruction lighting is in accordance with the TP83 requirements set out by Transport Canada. A CSA approved climbing safety rail conforms to the latest standard of safe fall-arrest systems. The tower and it's three anchors are well grounded.

The torsion arrestors at the 61 meter level and the additionally planned torsion section at the 91.4 meter level ensures suitability for the mounting of a variety of microwave dishes. A pinwheel at the 62.5 meter level enables numerous antennae to be mounted at that elevation.

Accommodation for rack mounted equipment or cabinets can be made in our fully insulated communications shelter that features a solid concrete floor, brick exterior, is heated and air conditioned. 6 KW emergency power back-up for client configurable 120/240 volt AC circuits is also available.

A gated access road and locked shelter site along with remote video surveilance is employed as part of a complete security system. Authorized access to the communication facility is readily attained via 2-wheel drive vehicle on a fully maintained all season access road.

Alphatech can also provide complete rigging services at very compatible prices, ensuring that the initial antenna installations and/or maintenance of existing systems can be attended to in short order and to high standards.
